Terms of service
What you can expect from us, and what we ask of you, when you use this website or our services.
Last updated: 31 July 2026
These terms apply to your use of pipehq.co.nz and to the services described on it, operated by pipehq ("we", "us", "our"), Christchurch, New Zealand. By using the site, registering as an adviser, or submitting an enquiry, you agree to them.
What pipehq is — and isn't
pipehq is a lead-generation business. We generate and qualify enquiries about KiwiSaver, life insurance and health insurance, and introduce each enquiry to one licensed financial adviser.
We are not a financial advice provider. Nothing on this website is financial advice, and nothing we say when qualifying an enquiry is a recommendation about any product, provider or investment. Any advice you receive comes from the licensed adviser we introduce you to, under that adviser's own licence, disclosure obligations and terms.
If you enquire about cover
- Submitting an enquiry is free and puts you under no obligation to proceed with anything.
- We'll pass your details to one adviser so they can contact you — that's what the service is for. How we handle your information is covered by our privacy policy.
- We choose advisers in good faith, but the advice, products and outcomes are between you and the adviser. We are not a party to any agreement you make with them.
- You can ask us to stop contacting you, or to withdraw your enquiry, at any time via the support page.
If you register as an adviser
- Registering through this site is a request, not a contract — we review each registration and may accept or decline it at our discretion.
- You confirm the details you give us (including your FSP or registration number) are accurate, and that you hold the licence or authorisation required to advise on the enquiry types you select.
- The commercial terms of receiving enquiries — volumes, pricing, exclusivity and replacement of enquiries that miss the qualification bar — are set out in the service agreement you receive at onboarding. If these website terms and your service agreement conflict, the service agreement wins.
- Enquiries we deliver to you are for your own use in advising that person. They may not be resold, shared or added to marketing lists.
Using this website
- Don't misuse the site: no submitting false enquiries or registrations, no scraping, no attempting to breach or probe security, no interfering with the service.
- Content on this site (text, design, the pipehq name and mark) is ours. You're welcome to link to the site; don't copy or pass off the content as your own.
- The site may link to third-party sites and services (for example, our booking calendar). We're not responsible for their content or terms.
What we don't promise
The website is provided "as is". We work to keep it accurate and available, but we don't guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and content may change without notice. Figures and examples on the site are illustrative, not a promise of results for any particular adviser.
Liability
Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under New Zealand law that cannot be excluded, including under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and the Fair Trading Act 1986. Subject to that, to the maximum extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of this website; and our total liability in connection with the website is limited to NZ$100. Liability relating to paid adviser services is dealt with in the adviser service agreement, not here.
If you acquire our services for business purposes, you agree the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 does not apply.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top tells you when they last changed; continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms. Changes don't apply retrospectively to adviser service agreements already in place.
Governing law
These terms are governed by New Zealand law, and the New Zealand courts have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute about them.
